These images are part of the Cat project. I wont post of of them right now because there are a lot! I did 81 drawings derived from the photograph in the previous post, none using lead pencil. In this post we have i)Graphic marker ii) Solvent Transfer iii) Collage using photocopy, dictionary page and tracing paper iv) Intaglio print over ink v) Solvent transfer onto muslin.
All these portraits were derived from an instax photo of me wearing a cat mask (below). The other picture in this post is one of my favourite from the series. It was made by printing the photo onto acetate using a bubble jet printer and then sticking packing tape over it. The image was then cut to size and mounted in a 35mm slide mount and projected.
This series is titled "The past 6 months." The portrait is ink over solvent transfer and graphite paper was used for the text. This was exhibited in Traces, May 2010 at the Showcase gallery.
